No arguements
Near perfection
Travelling, to your house

anytime the heart calls
Stolen kisses.
Forgotten days.
Afternoon breakfast.
Watch kids water fight.
Breeze taken from the Caribbean.
I want sweet fruit
Cold and refreshing
To be carefree

I want to share
A bottle of water
An experience
I want to give
a reason to be happy
a piece of me
blood to reveal art
Standing around, watching the sunrise
On the steps, watching the sunrise
In your bed, watching the sunrise
Before that, clear empty skies
I want the Brooklyn Bridge and Splish Splash to be closer
Visible skylines
A sociable moon
A considerate sun
This summer let the icecream
be too cool to melt
More summer babies, less summer funerals

Out of sixteen poets competing in the National Underground Poetry Individual Competition, only four of them were women. The final two poets in the last round were women. Quit sleeping on us. Book more women at your venues more often and other women will start attending. And reading.
